About Emilio José
I am currently the creative coordinator for SCADpro, the innovation studio at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design), and I work as a creative consultant and mentor in Design Thinking, Creative Business Leadership, and Innovation for various brands.

I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with leading companies such as BMW, Google, Deloitte, and Savannah College of Art & Design.

Guided by empathy, authenticity, and a focus on storytelling, I’ve honed my skills in creative industries such as film, TV commercials, and creative leadership. As a catalyst for innovation, I am passionate about fostering collaboration and mentoring others, creating dynamic, forward-thinking environments. My experience has prepared me to tackle human-centered challenges and elevate projects to new levels through strategic workshops, contextual research, and empathy.

Started my creative journey in Ecuador's independent cinema industry, creating TV commercials, documentaries, and managing film distribution.
Joined KJM Creative in Miami, FL, focusing on social media branding and campaigns.
COVID-19 led to in-depth research into challenges facing local and global creatives, redefining my purpose.
Moved to Savannah, GA, to pursue an M.A. in Creative Business Leadership at SCAD, honing skills in leadership and design strategy.
Collaborated with Deloitte and Google as Project Manager in both 10-week design programs, gaining key industry experience and leading teams of average 20 multidisciplinary creatives.
Stepped into higher education, leading an innovation studio to address Millennial and Gen Z creatives' needs.
Co-founded Rights Chocolate, a fair-trade business supporting people with disabilities in Ecuador through fine aroma cocoa.
Currently shaping impactful design and human-centered innovation as a Studio Coordinator and Design Thinker.
